We went and saw AWAY WE GO today. Great movie. Well written, by Dave Eggers and, I believe, his wife. Directed by Sam Mendes. Superbly acted by a very deep cast. Poignant and funny.

I take one exception, the McDLT wasn’t a failure. It was discontinued because McDonald’s was forced to stop using the styrofoam containers. That’s what kept “the hot side hot and the cool side cool”. Once that was gone, the gimmick was dead.

I downloaded “Separation Sunday” by The Hold Steady. It’s not bad, but it’s not outstanding. There’s no jumpout track, like “Sequestered in Memphis” from their last album.
I still haven’t pulled the trigger on the new Eels album or Hayden, both suggested last night.
