The first week of job training is over. Nothing unexpected. It’s nice that there are some cool people in the training class. People I’d actually want to hang out with, not just people it’s okay to pass the time with. In fact, one of my new friends is playing a show tonight, so I’m going to catch that.

Last night, I went with Eric and Kelly for Cuban food at Habana’s. It was amazing and I ate way too much, but it’s the first time I had Cuban since I left Florida two years ago.

Then we took in the late showing of Steve McQueen’s SHAME. Man, that is an intense and fucked up film, but I dug it. Great performances and McQueen really knows how to build tension in scenes.

Slowly, life is getting a rhythm. I’m finding a groove, the balance of routine and exploration in a brand new city that is now my home.
