I just made a comment to you on Twitter, but I’ll restate it here for public discussion. Does this song seem like the antithesis of “Born in the USA”? Sort of rah-rah patriotic stuff you might here from later-Mellencamp?

It just lacks that blue collar, damn-the-man, fight-the-powers-that-be grit.

Just my opinion.
